Using CHIRP
You need a working email address and a phone number you own. One account per person, and you must be at least 13 years old.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is sent from your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
How to behave
Chirp people you actually know. Do not send anything threatening, hateful, illegal or recorded without the other person knowing. Do not use CHIRP for spam, marketing or automated sending.
Blocking and muting
Anyone can block or mute you at any time, and that decision stands. Trying to get around it will end your account.
Chirps disappear
Every Chirp expires 24 hours after it is sent and is no longer available for playback after expiration. Expired Chirps are cleared from our active systems on a schedule, so that clean-up can happen a little after the moment of expiry. Deleting your account can remove a Chirp sooner. CHIRP is not a place to store anything you want to keep.
Ending things
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings inside CHIRP. We ask you to confirm, then remove your account and the things listed in the Privacy Policy, including the Chirps you have sent and received. That is separate from the normal 24-hour expiry and can make a Chirp you sent unavailable before its 24 hours are up. The same email address and phone number can be used for a new account later. We can close an account that breaks these rules.
The service as it is
CHIRP is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable, and we are not responsible for a Chirp that does not arrive.
